I made this hat for my friend, Shannon who reports that she wears it all the time. This pattern is kind of fun to make because you make the squares with the flowers first, sew then together, and then add the top, and then the brim. Very cool.

Ripple afghan I made using a free pattern from Red Heart.
I made this for my co-worker, Cheryl's baby shower in the fall of 2001. Took about 30 hours. Lesson learned: only change colors every three rows instead of every row. There were more than 200 ends to weave in on this blanket. |

I swore I'd NEVER make anything frilly for the bathroom, but when I realized my Mom's new craft room had a bathroom, I couldn't help it. Needed something to jazz it up.
I've used the pattern for the roses on a bunch of other stuff since, including slippers and hats. They're so easy to make, and they look really pretty in different colors. |
