A New Look at Crochet: Using Basic Stitches to Create Modern Designs by Elyse and Mike Sommer 514 photos, 22 color plates Published 1975 In excellent condition with a heavy paper stock cover This book is EXTREMELY RARE, $20 + $7 to ship carefully protected in bubble wrap
This book doesn't really have patterns, it's about the ART of crochet. What it has are hundreds of really interesting projects with pictures, including a HUGE section about patchwork and freeform crochet. This book would be great for someone who's willing to try something different and just needs some inspiration. My favorite projects are the hats which are just so cool. You'll never believe some of the pictures in here including a lifesize crocheted horse, a carnival mask that's just amazing, and so many different freeform projects that it will make you want to try it!
I can scan some photos to send you, including the cover, if you'd like more information before buying.
